Driver Diversionary Course Information (updated 22/06/20)

Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, face to face classroom sessions for all driver diversionary courses have been suspended.

Suffolk County Council is currently offering iNSAC (National Speed Awareness Course) as an online/digital virtual classroom session. The course lasts for two and a half hours and costs £90. See below.

For updated details of the Safe and Considerate Driving (online) course, please click this Safe and Considerate Driving (online) link.

If you have been offered an online/digital course as an alternative to prosecution, please visit: for information and to make a booking.

To take part, you will need to book and pay for your course online and have access to:

  • A tablet, laptop or desktop with microphone and camera with reliable internet connection capable of streaming video. Smart phones may be used; however, the course will be far more effective if you have a larger screen.
  • You will need to be in a private room, alone without disturbances for the duration of the course

If you do not have access to the above, you will need to contact the referring Police Force on the number included in your offer letter.

**PLEASE NOTE**:  If you book and pay for your course online, it is assumed you have read the above instructions on ‘how to book’ and the requirements for taking an online course. If you decide at a later date your technology is not appropriate, you will NOT receive a full refund due to the costs of booking and processing the course. You will only receive a partial refund, so please ensure you have read the information and are able to take part BEFORE booking.
